Two posts from my @MTBikeGeezer Instagram feed in the past week:
After several failed attempts to clean this log at the bottom of a drop yesterday, it occurred to me that I had to use a drop 'lunge' technique that I'd practiced earlier in the week in order to get my front wheel on top of the log. A lunge requires you to move your body forward a bit before quickly 'lunging' the bike forward underneath you. It's counter-intuitive on a steep downhill like this because normally moving your body forward is the LAST thing you want to do or else it's OTB time. I've forwarded and reversed the slowmo segment at the end of the video a couple of times to more clearly show the lunge.
