I’m part of a group of Rice County residents who’ve met twice in the past six weeks here in Northfield, working on the formation of a club called Cannon River Offroad Cycling & Trails (CROCT).

We’re still working on our mission/vision statement but it’s safe to say that we’re all inspired to create great places to ride that are considerably closer than the bike parks and trails in the southern metro area. Those 45-60 minute one-way trips aren’t horrible but it would definitely be nice to have some options to ride that can be squeezed into a busy day.
